A Love For The Arts
I'm not an artist but I took a pottery class in high school and loved it. Chelsa had the opportunity to take a class this year at the local college in Red Deer and she loved it too.
Today she took me in and showed off. Look at what she was able to do compared to my more than 9 years away from the wheel.

Oops I did it Again
And again and again and again. Only this time I was scared when I walked into the room. I had taken Aubrey's washable markers away from her because she just can't seem to help herself. So as I walked into the kitchen and saw blue scribbles EVERYWHERE - cupboards, floors, her, chairs - I didn't know if I should laugh or cry. Plus it's my parents house and my mom was coming home in an hour!
The thing about Aubrey and markers is that although she knows better, she still acts innocent every time it happens. I asked her to please show me the marker she had used (which conveniently she had already put away). She led me right to it, in the drawer with the.....SHARPIES! A drawer she had not previously discovered.
All I can say is THANKGOODNESS for Google...after dousing the room with rubbing alcohol, her with OFF bug spray, and a good bath to get the deet off of her....we were good to go.
Even after a few days we were still discovering scribbles of blue around the kitchen. The girl was on a mission.

Pumpkin Carving Pictures
Aubrey had a blast carving pumpkins this year. As you can see she wasn't a fan of getting dirty, much too slimy for her, so she kept cleaning her hands. But look at those smiles!
Thanks Stu and Darlene for making this happen. It was a lot of fun!

La Rochelle, France

A couple more photos from our time in picturesque La Rochelle, France. (Back in July). These are small but there are more La Rochelle photos on my www.chelsascahefer.com site. Slowly but surely I will finish up our France photos!
La Rochelle was a beautiful city to wander around, and we really enjoyed our teeny tiny - but adorable - Hotel De La Paix, and it was in the perfect location.
As you can see some highlights were the carousel and famous aquarium. Aubrey loved both, and made a little french friend at the aquarium. This little guy and her were adorable, running around and playing together. Pretty cute.
