12 Weeks, giggles & tickles!

We had a great Christmas here in North Carolina with my (Chelsa's) side of the family! But more on that later...

Finally some smiley pictures!!

Aubrey is a very happy little girl who loves to smile and squeal and kick her legs around! She just started reaching for toys above her head and is enjoying the realization that those arms belong to her! It is tough getting smiley pictures of her since as soon as the camera goes in front of my face, she stops smiling : "Where did mommy go!?"

9 Weeks & Cuppy Cakes

Aubrey is almost 11 weeks now! But all these photos were taken when she was 8 weeks :) We were meeting the girls for cupcakes that day, so her little BreeBerry outfit was the perfect pick!

8 Weeks Old

I cannot believe that Aubrey is 8 weeks old already!! I mean, that still sounds so young, but it is amazing and fun to see her grow and change before our eyes. Lately she has gotten very smiley and vocal during our mornings together (we're still working on sleeping past 545am after daddy leaves - thankfully she knows she needs to go back to sleep after she eats!). And she knows now that when she does her "fake" cry-out mommy or daddy will come and check on her during her naps. She is desperately trying to find her fingers, but usually ends up sucking on her fist....then gets a little frustrated as you can see from her photos! Each day she is just blessing and rewarding our lives so much with her presence : )

First Fireworks

Last night we went downtown to take photos of our friends - Stu and Emily - and got to see a really great fireworks show in between! Aubrey enjoyed watching all of the lights and colours fill the sky!

Last week Lily and I threw a surprise birthday party for Dave and Ben since their birthday's were only 4 days apart. We had a great turnout of friends that came to celebrate with us! Thank you to all who came!!

Highlights

Highlight #1 : On Monday my umbilical cord finally came off!! Mommy was getting worried because i wanted to hang on to it for so long...she decided to name it - "billy" - that's when i knew it was time to let it go!

Highlight #2 : Then i got my first real bath in a bath tub!!! I love baths and cry when Mommy and Daddy make me get out and put my jammies on.

Highlight #3 : On Tuesday I turned 6 weeks old (i know, that is a LONG time to hang on to my "billy"! but hey, you only live once!).

Highlight #4 : As of today, i weigh 10lbs 4.5oz!!! Even though i squirm and wiggle (and sometimes even yell) A LOT when mommy nurses me, i am still getting lots of nutritious milk :)

Oh, and I grew an inch!

I'm So Special

First my Grandma and Grandpa S. came to see me for my first halloween!
They are so sweet to me, I really love them!!

Next came more family from Canada...this is my Uncle Derek and Auntie Karyse (they are mommy's cousins). They are so cool, I can't wait to see them in Canada! One day me and Auntie Karyse will do yoga together in my baby yoga onesie that she bought me.

And this is my big cousin Myles!!! I love Myles, we will have so much fun together when I can keep up with him. And my Aunt Jocie is so lovely, I can't wait to snuggle her again!

So many people have come to visit me this month! Nana and Gramps came again, and this time they brought my Auntie Taylor!! She is so pretty, and she buys me pretty shoes and dresses with leotards. So chic. And the best part is that my cute button nose looks like hers!
