what i do

i work for the army. half a dozen times a year, or more, we do what is described in this video. i had to click on the play button several times for this to work. be patient. FYI this is my unit and although there is no footage of me, i am there.

First Time's A Charm

Today we are down to 1 - ONE - newborn size disposable diaper. We watched our supply dwindle over the last week, wondering if her tiny little tooshie would fit her cloth diaper supply...they seem HUGE compared to her bottom. They are big, but it worked! No leakage!

82nd Airborne [Foreign Jump Wings]

5 days before Miss Aubrey arrived, her {in utereo} and I went out to a drop zone to watch daddy get his foreign jump wings....meaning that their Jump Master was foreign, his was German. I have been to a few jumps, but this one was really neat because the planes were landing and taking off in the field rather than at the airport where we couldn't see them.

Let It Rain

The video below was shown to Chelsa and I last night by our friend Elizabeth. The video and what I write are not one and the same, however, the video sparked me to right this post.

It has become very apparent to me how amazing it is that Jesus has saved my life. Despite the fact that I have considered myself a follower of Christ for as long as I have been alive; it was only this last week that I received this revelation, I am saved and not everyone will be.
Christians often talk about how things will go from your head to your heart; I have now found that to be true. This revelation has become life changing for me.

Pretty sweet that Aubrey was born the same week, two life changing additions to my life in a week.

She has the bluest eyes! I will put up an "awake" photo in colour soon enough :)

Yes, Ben and I are a little obnoxious when it comes to blogging photos of our little cutie! (and i am trying to keep up with Ben and his posting power!)

Plus, i know there are some of you out there who just keep waiting for new photos of Aubrey!

Aubrey's first ever movie, "The Proposal." She enjoyed it so much she slept right through it.

The, "we've got her home, she just spit up on my shirt, what do I do now" face...

Funny story.
See Chelsa kept saying to people who held Aubrey, "she hasn't spit up yet." But Brad, I think you would fall in line with me when I would reply, "well she's going to."
Unrewardingly I was right, she did. So there it is, her first spit up.
(and on the one day i get all dressed up)
note: unrewardingly is now a word

We are at the hospital, checked in, and in the room.
