Bears & Waterfalls

So this weekend we decided to just take off for a night and head west out past Nordegg, AB, Canada. It is in the Rocky Mountains, and absolutely gorgeous country! It is also bear country, big-horn sheep country, and cougar country. Thankfully we didn't see any cougars...and the bears we had to hit the brakes for in the safety of "old faithful" - the motor-home that used to belong to my grandparents. It was so exciting though! We enjoyed the scenic drive (that was extended by a couple hours due to: 1. telling Ben where to exit off the hwy about 30 min late; & 2. the sign for our waterfall hike having been blown down). Aubrey did awesome the whole trip - despite being a bit under the weather this last week - and she obviously loves the outdoors! It always puts her in a good mood :)

Here are some pictures, more to come from the "little camera".

Those pictures are so beautiful that they almost seem fake! Gorgeous! What a fun trip. :) I would have been scared of the bears, though.

The scenery is so beautiful, I thought for a moment you must be in Colorado! It's fun to see Ben with the longest hair he's had for...maybe... 5-6 years? Darling daddy-daughter pic!
